Over a period of more than 15 years, beginning in the mid-90s, Mum crafted over 70 sculptures. The physically demanding nature of sculpting eventually led her to shift her focus to a gentler art form, drawing, in the late 2000s. She had a special appreciation for various types of stone, particularly Carrara marble—a material so hefty that she ingeniously transformed their Italian road trips with our Dad into opportunities to source it directly and transport it home by car!
